ANEW is a merger of two well known gospel groups in Pensacola FL. Burning Faith, a tight female accapella group which has been together for 15 years and Divine (God's) Favor, an upbeat female contemporary group that has been together 6 years. Both groups have endured many heartaches and trials, and with the help of the Lord, the two groups have experienced also triumphs and rewards. These melodious voices were drawn together initially to sing back up for Psalmist Brenda Griffin at Grace Fest 2005.
Although Grace Fest was cancelled due to several hurricanes, the groups continued to rehearse and fellowship. Burning Faith and Divine Favor began to bond both in mind and in spirit, and soon realized they had similar goals. The groups continued to sing together at various engagements and God continued to pour out His anointing even in the rehearsals.
The chemistry was so great that in September of 2005 God inspired the two groups to come together as one, thus giving birth to “ANEW”. In October of 2005, ANEW sang backup for Psalmist Brenda Griffin (formally of Burning Faith) at the release concert of her first CD "Just beyond the Clouds". This group is not only talented in vocals, but writing as well.
Under the direction of the Holy Ghost, ANEW is destined to be a force to be reckoned with in the arena of Praise and Worship.
